IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION -
We’ve taken the shipping calculator off this website because the flat rate boxes are often the best deal financially for many but they couldn’t be included in the calculations easily.
So, we will add shipping to each order that comes in, but we keep our shipping charges as low as possible for you.
Currently, we ship primarily through the post office. We take their postal charges and add approximately a $2.50 handling fee to cover our expense of packing tape and the gas to drive it to the post office for mailing.
(*You wouldn’t believe how much packing tape we buy, but we want it to arrive INTACT, you know?)

GRAIN SHIPPING INFORMATION -
We’re frequently asked if we will ship grain. We can ship the 45 pound pails and 20 pounds in the priority flat rate boxes the post office offers, but we are only able to ship the 50 pound boxes when we have an appropriately sized box, (*and if Mark can take them to the post office because I can’t lift them to the counter! ha!).

REGARDING PRIORITY MAIL FLAT RATE BOXES -
I can fit approximately 10-12 pounds grain in the "regular" flat rate boxes. The shipping & handling on that box is $13.20.
(*The normal price to ship 12 pounds of grain to....hm... say Arizona from here would be over $26.50 yet this flat rate lets me do it for just $13.20 so it’s a great value!)
The larger priority flat rate box holds approximately 20 pounds of grain. Shipping, with handling included, on that box is $17.00.
(*The normal price to ship 20 pounds of grain to....hm... again Arizona from here would be over $32.00 yet this flat rate lets me do it for just $17.00 - the best value!)

TIMELINESS ON SHIPPING -
We try to get all orders out quickly; however, we are a small family business which relies heavily on Mom, aka "me"! Your needs are truly important to us, but there are times the needs of our family take priority over a package going out. Thanks for understanding.

The "Murphy’s Law of Retail" says, "Sell out of any item, and it’ll become your best seller!" Should you order the Murphy’s item of the week, we’ll give you the choice of having us ship your order in two parts, hold the whole order until the backordered item comes in, or cancel the item entirely.

I understand and "Yes, we take paypal!" You’ll need to contact me by phone or email to set it up though.
REGARDING CREDIT CARD PURCHASES -
If you are local and doing a bulk grain order, we ask that you deal in cash or check simply because credit cards cost us so much in fees. There’s simply not enough mark-up in bulk foods to off-set that loss so we’d have to raise our prices if we did credit cards on our bulk grain orders.
Credit cards are currently processed by only one person, me, so your information is not being shared with others.

CUSTOMER RETURN POLICY -
We have taken great care in choosing reputable vendors and products, and we pack everything we ship very carefully.
If a product is damaged in shipping, save everything and contact us immediately so we can contact our shipper to confirm and resolve it.
Regarding food and personal care items, our world has changed greatly in the past few years therefore we will not resell any food or personal care item that has left our premises.
Please choose wisely because all sales are final at time of purchase, with the only exception being damaged or defective product.
Should there be a problem, such as mold or bugs in grain, it must be called to our attention within 10 days of purchase for replacement or store credit.
Regarding grain, heat & humidity can bring out the bugs in it. We suggest you store grains in pails, inside homes and not in garages or outside storage buildings. Keep grains dry & cool. If a bag of grain gets wet or damp, there is a distinct possibility it will mold because these bags are just layers of kraft paper with no plastic lining. It is your responsibility to protect your investment once it is purchased.
Defective non-food items may be returned within the first 30 days from purchase for replacement or store credit only. After that, we will assist you in contacting the manufacturer to see what warranties and repairs they offer. Shipping is non-refundable and will be deducted from store credit, if applicable.
All other issues that might come up are handled on a ‘case-by-case’ basis with total discretion on our part and a 15% restocking fee when applicable. As a rule, we do not offer cash refunds. Store credit only.
